FarWide
UX / UI / Research
With access, regulations, and more in a map-based platform, FarWide is an entirely new solution for hunters and anglers to connect with the outdoors.

Problem
Finding updated regulations and licensing information for hunting and fishing can be a daunting task. Historically, it tends to involve searching a 200 page (unsearchable) PDF and checking several different websites and occasionally a few phone calls to game wardens.
FarWide was created to solve this dilemma and to make it easier for hunter and anglers to get out there. We especially wanted to target those people that grew up participating in these types of activities but moved to an urban area and lost touch with the outdoors.

Get informed. Get outside.
Role & stakeholders
With a small team, the design process moved quickly and efficiently. We frequently relied on our network of hunter and anglers to provide feedback and participate in user testing sessions.
